The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State, Hon Soji Adagunodo has alleged plans by the APC to disrupt the PDP governorship primaries holding on Saturday.
Adagunodo in a statement in Osogbo yesterday said top chieftains of the APC allegedly held several meetings with notorious thugs in a location in the State to hatch plans of causing mayhem during the PDP primaries.
He said the desperate plans of the APC was borne out of the party’s fears about what a successful PDP primary election portends for the APC in the governorship election holding in September.
He, therefore, called on the State Commissioner of police, the Director of the State Security Service, the Commandant of the Civil defence Corp and other security agencies to ensure maximum security before and during the exercise which will involve over 3000 party members.
The PDP chairman also urged the security agencies to beam their searchlight on some chieftains of the APC who have been notorious for perpetrating violence using hoodlums often referred to as ‘State Boys’ by Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
