Omah Lay and Tems have finally spoken about their arrest in Uganda after coming back to Nigeria.
The two Nigerian singers have taken to social media to issue a statement and thanked everyone for their role played in their release after they were arrested in Uganda and was been treated like thieves.
Tems and Omah Lay were arrested and detained by the Police in Uganda for violating the country’s COVID-19 rules during their performance after it was alleged that a Ugandan artist, Babe Cool, reported to the police to arrest them for performing during the pandemic season.
Omah Lay, explaining his part of the whole situation, the 23 years old singer who was born in Port Harcourt, said the event promoters promised them they were going to take care of everything including covid-19 protocols, and theirs was to be present to perform, but unfortunately, they were arrested for their negligence.
The singer then appreciated his fans, colleague musicians, family, friends, officials, and everyone who played a single role to make sure they were released.
