This happened at Ebvotubu quarters in Benin City, Edo State. The young men who obviously do not stay in the community drove their flashy vehicles to Evbotubu and stopped in the middle of the road and started to spray heavy cash on both motorists and pedestrians.
It indeed caused a melee as many people abandon what they were doing to start picking money from the floor.
It was a huge Naira rain and the boys were happily doling out the cash.
According to the voices heard in the background the young men probably were doing it for ritualistic purposes. Of lately we have seen some strange things happening to some young guys all in a bid to make money.
A few weeks ago in Benin City a young guy came out of his Mercedes stripped to his pants and started directing traffic at a busy junction in the GRA axis of the city. He was later spotted driving the latest Mercedes a month after the bizarre incident.
Please what is your take on this pressing issue? Were they right in throwing out money like that? What is the spiritual implication of picking such money if it was for ritualistic purposes? And lastly, did the boys violate any law in their conduct?
