14.05 Chelsea target Kostas Manolas’ move to Zenit St Petersburg is reportedly on the brink of falling through.
Reports in Italy claim Manolas has not turned up for his medical with the Russian side due to a dispute involving his pay.
The Greece international has asked his wages be paid in Euros rather than Rubles, due to the volatility of the Russian currency, causing the deal to halt.
The claims come amid reports the Blues are considering a £35million bid for the centre-half.
13:08: Worrying update for Chelsea fans – and it concerns Thibaut Courtois.
His agent Christophe Henrotay admits he’s already held meetings over Courtois’ future.
“Of course Thibaut is of interest to the big clubs, including the latest Champions League winner,” Christophe Henrotay told Sport Foot.
“He’s someone who helps you win games, titles. I meet regularly those in charge at Real Madrid, and Thibaut’s case has come up. My role is to keep him updated on the situation.”
11:45: Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has shrugged off speculation linking his club with Diego Costa and stressed they can’t sign players until January.
Costa, who spent four seasons at Atletico before joining Chelsea in 2014, has been linked with a return after being told by his manager Antonio Conte he was not wanted at Stamford Bridge next season.
The 28-year-old has said Atletico would be his ideal destination but when asked about the possibility of Costa coming back, Spanish newspaper Marca quote Cerezo as saying “we can not sign [players] until January” but added “until January many things can happen”.
10:30: Torino are interested in Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah.
According to transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has his eye on the 22-year-old, who made 14 appearances in all competitions last season.
8.45: Chelsea face competition for Juventus defender Alex Sandro from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in Italy.
GianlucaDiMarzio claim the French club are keen to sign the left-back and have a good working relationship with the Serie A champions.
The report says contact between the two clubs is still ongoing regarding a deal for PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi, boding well for a swoop for Sandro.
And the French club’s sporting director Antero Henrique is also said to be forging ahead with a move for the 26-year-old who he knows from his days with Porto.

The Chelsea legend is battling with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for the role.
And according to The Sun, Lampard has already held talks with the club.
Oxford are also talking to former Leeds boss Pep Clotet over the role.

21:40: Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offload either Michy Batshuayi or Kurt Zouma to Sevilla so they can sign Vitolo.
The Spain international has become a summer target for Antonio Conte, who has the funds to trigger his £35million buyout clause.
But a cheaper proposal could be in the pipeline.
The Spanish club would potentially accept a part-exchange proposal involving forward Batshuayi and centre-half Zouma, whose futures are in doubt at Stamford Bridge.
21:15: Lyon forward Bertrand Traore has revealed why he left Chelsea.
Lyon announced the capture of the Burkina Faso international yesterday having signed the 21-year-old on a five-year contract for £8.8million.
Traore said: “I could have stayed at Chelsea and played a few minutes in every game, fighting every day for a spot, knowing that I’ll never get a spot, I trained at the club, I did everything.
“Two seasons ago, I challenged the starters but we all know what happened last year. I was there during pre-season and then I was sent out on loan.
“So this year, I did not want to re-live the same scenario. It was time for me to find a stable club where I could play first-team football, where I could be one of the key players in the team.”
