Tokota Boys Case Adjourned to October


The notorious gang that terrorised different communities in Kitwe commonly known as Tokota Boys will have to wait until October to know their fate when the High Court sessions in the matter the 19 are charged with three counts will resume.

Kitwe High Court Judge Timothy Katanekwa has set October as the month for ruling in the case the 19 are facing three counts of abduction, poisoning and causing grievous bodily harm.

Judge Katanekwa closed the case after eight witnesses testified before the High Court on how the 19 allegedly abducted, poisoned and caused grievous harm to a 17 year old boy of Mulenga Compound.

Facts before Court are that in the first count, on 30th April, 2018 the 19 jointly and whilst acting together with intent to harm, injure or disfigure caused harm to Cuthbert Nkonde.

In count two, on 30th April, 2018 the 19 are charged for unlawful wounding and poisoning contrary to the Laws of Zambia.

In count three, on 30th April, 2018 the 19 are charged for allegedly abducting or kidnapping a 17-year old boy.
