The Lagos state Waste Management Authority staff today took to the streets to protest over the non payment of their salaries.The LAWMA Highway Sweepers dump their uniforms on the road earlier today in protest of unpaid 3 months salary.
According to them, They worked all through the lockdown period and are yet to receive pay for the work done. Instead of paying them, the Government decided to sack them. These road sweepers are allegedly paid a meager sum of 18,000 naira monthly for the job that they do.
