A Kenyan man identified as Dishon Kinyanjui Kinuthia has written to his church to refund his offerings from 1997 to 2018 to him. He’s probably tired of paying offerings hence his letter to take back all the monies he’s paid to his church.
According to his letter which was shared on Twitter, Dishon Kinyanjui Kinuthia worshipped with the Revival Mission Church, Kabete, in Nairobi, from 1997 to 2018 and has now left the church but believes he did not get the value for his money and is making an estimated demand for 58,000 Kenyan Shilling which is approximately GH¢3,100 ($532).
From his letter, all the contributions he made to the church in a form of offerings within the 19-year period were not “voluntary” but was done under “undue influence, duress, and intimidation.”
Dishon has therefore asked the church to deposit money in his account on or before November 31, 2020, or he will sue the church in the law court.
